Erin Bloom graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN and returned to Austin Peay to complete her Master of Science degree as well. Her thesis resulted in the formal description of a new crayfish species found at Fort Campbell, on the Tennessee and Kentucky border. After graduating with her masters, Erin was an Assistant Professor of Biology at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, TN, where she taught a variety of science classes. During her tenure there, she was also the Coordinator of our Teaching and Learning Center.
