Dr. Kimberly Uddo received her doctoral degree from Loyola University, where she received the Nightingale Award. She is a certified critical care nurse (CCRN) and a certified nurse educator (CNE). She is also a workplace wellness specialist. The issues encountered while teaching nursing students in the intensive care unit during the pandemic sparked her research interest in workplace well-being. She conducted a pilot study on Building Nursing Student Resilience. She later received an endowed professorship on this subject. She has researched resilience, burnout, civility, incivility, workplace well-being, and moral injury. She now participates in new employee onboarding and presents the topic of academic civility. She has served on the Culture Task Force, which is a community college-wide committee. She has served Delgado Community College since 1999 as a nursing faculty member, where she received the Seymour Weiss Excellence in Teaching Award.
