Description

Are you struggling with students in your online classes staying on task? Do you find that students don't read the syllabus? Are you looking for ways to have better retention and success in the online classroom? If this is you, I get it. I have been teaching online for over a decade. Trying to keep students on task in the online space, and trying to make sure that students are progressing through the course on a weekly basis, can be difficult. When we add activities and engagement to our online courses, we help students stay motivated, focused, and on task. Students become more responsible in the online course. In this webinar, participants gain strategies and activities to incorporate into the online classroom that get students excited and inspired to learn. With these strategies, you will get better student retention and better outcomes. Strategies like reflection activities, student discussions, and interactive tools that relate to the curriculum can all be a part of a successful online course.

By the end of this workshop, participants know or be able to:

  • Learn to identify student struggles early on in the course to be able to help these students.
  • Learn 12 new strategies and implement them into an online course.
  • Facilitate writing assignments like reflection writing in a manner that all students will be able to understand.
  • Create interactive and engaging courses that promote student success.

Certificate, Digital Badge, and CEU

All webinar participants can obtain, at no additional cost:

  • A digital badge and certificate that provide a web-enabled, verifiable documentation of your professional learning experience.
  • CEUs, which are awarded by passing the post-webinar learning assessment with a score of 80% or better.
