From Insight to Impact: Leveraging Dual Enrollment Survey of Student Engagement Data for Student Success

As dual enrollment opportunities continue to expand nationwide, colleges are seeking more effective ways to ensure these programs provide high-quality, equitable experiences that support student success. One powerful tool emerging in this effort is the Dual Enrollment Survey of Student Engagement (DESSE), which captures students’ voices on their academic and support experiences. This session will showcase how institutions are leveraging DESSE data to gain critical insights and drive meaningful improvements in dual enrollment programming. Participants will hear how colleges have strategically analyzed DESSE data to identify strengths and areas for growth in their dual enrollment programs. The session will highlight how student feedback on instructional quality, academic rigor, support services, and sense of belonging is being translated into actionable reforms such as faculty development, targeted student support initiatives, and refined outreach strategies. This session is ideal for institutional researchers, program coordinators, and academic leaders committed to maximizing the value of dual enrollment experiences. By the end of this workshop, participants will:

• Discover how institutions are using survey insights to identify and address disparities in student experiences, ensuring more inclusive and supportive dual enrollment environments.
• Learn how colleges applied Dual Enrollment Survey of Student Engagement (DESSE) data to enhance the quality and effectiveness of their dual enrollment programs.
• Have a roadmap for turning student feedback into targeted interventions such as faculty training, support services, and policy adjustments that lead to improved academic outcomes and greater student engagement.

Note: Webinars are only available to individuals at NISOD member colleges.

Learners will have the option to earn a certificate of attendance or a certificate with Continuing Education Units (CEU) upon completion of the webinar. To earn a certificate with CEUs, the learner must successfully pass the learning assessment with a score of 80% or higher. All learners must complete the post-event evaluation to earn credentials. 

The duration of this webinar is one hour, which is equal to 0.1 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
