Total Credits: .3 Workshop CEU(s)

Facilitator:
Timothy Mousel
Duration:
3 Hours

Dates

Description

This interactive workshop explores the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in creating engaging and effective assignments for students. Participants learn how to leverage AI tools to generate diverse and personalized assignments by going beyond traditional formats; enhance feedback and assessment by utilizing AI-powered tools to provide students with immediate and personalized feedback to promote self-reflection and growth; and foster creativity and critical thinking by integrating AI into assignments to encourage students to explore complex topics, analyze information, and solve problems collaboratively.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and evaluate at least three AI tools suitable for creating engaging assignments in their specific disciplines.
  • Design and develop at least one AI-powered course assignment that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and personalized learning.
  • Develop a plan for integrating AI tools into their teaching practice responsibly and ethically, addressing potential concerns about bias, data privacy, and academic integrity.

Certificate and CEUs for Virtual Workshops

Learners will have the option to earn a certificate of attendance or a certificate with Continuing Education Units (CEU) upon completion of the workshop. To earn a certificate with CEUs, the learner must successfully pass the learning assessment with a score of 80% or higher. All learners must complete the post-event evaluation to earn credentials.

The duration of this workshop is one hour, which is equal to 0.3 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
