We'll dive into the nitty-gritty of incorporating an AI statement into your syllabus to ensure your students become savvy digital citizens rather than AI-dependent zombies. From crafting AI-enhanced assignments to building fortresses around academic integrity, this session is your arsenal against the AI uprising in education. Get ready to laugh, learn, and leave with a toolkit to navigate the AI landscape in your classroom!

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Integrate digital literacy components into various subjects of their curriculum, utilizing AI and other digital tools to enhance subject-specific learning and promote critical engagement with digital media among students.
  • Grasp the ethical implications and applications of AI in educational settings, including strategies to maintain academic integrity and foster a balanced perspective on the use of AI tools in academia.
  • Develop skills to incorporate AI tools into assignment designs effectively, focusing on using AI for tasks like brainstorming, feedback, and generating diverse perspectives, while ensuring that assignments challenge students beyond the capabilities of AI.

Note: Webinars are only available to individuals at NISOD member colleges.

 

Certificate and CEUs for Webinars

Learners will have the option to earn a certificate of attendance or a certificate with Continuing Education Units (CEU) upon completion of the webinar. To earn a certificate with CEUs, the learner must successfully pass the learning assessment with a score of 80% or higher. All learners must complete the post-event evaluation to earn credentials. 

The duration of this webinar is one hour, which is equal to 0.1 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
